High ester, wild fermented, 100% pot still, and tropically aged for over seven years at the estate with nothing but their own spring water added. This is beautiful, pure, natural rum. The nose is impetuous and very intense, every scent is amplified by the 60% ABV. Delightful scents of cherry are surrounded by touches of wood and spice. Dry on the palate with a welcome hint of bitterness, oak, and spice, followed by a long, subtly varnish finish. Surprisingly elegant for an overproof rum.
