Don’t kiss those Summer cocktails goodbye just yet. There’s still plenty of time to indulge in the lighter side of spirits before the weather starts to cool. From a classic Tom Collins to the go-to G&T, these bottles are incredible with great price points that make it easy to stock up your bar cart with the good stuff. This lineup has been my jam all Summer and I’m just not ready to let them go.

Being lucky enough to be in this industry, I’ve had the pleasure of tasting through many Gins. Aside from Monkey 47 being my top pick, I can’t always shovel out $80 for a bottle and needed something that hits the spot like Monkey does. When I tried the Drumshanbo for the first time, I knew I had found my replacement. It satisfies my taste buds and gives me exactly what I look for in a Gin, without it being just a one trick pony like some.

Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin: $36.98
This Gin is made with several unique botanicals, but what throws it over the top is the use of Gunpowder Tea and Drumshanbo (Meadowsweet). The Gunpowder Tea plays so well with the other fresh botanicals, giving it a bold and almost smoky quality, and the Drumshanbo mellows it all out with a touch of almond. These flavor profiles may sound crazy, but I’m telling you that this Gin is a must for your bar.

The Spirit Guild Astral Pacific Gin, Los Angeles: $37.98
Great times have been had with this Gin and The Spirit Guild’s distiller Miller Duvall, making it an easy choice to have a permanent home for this Gin on my bar. The fun kicker about this Gin is that it’s made with fermented clementine’s grown right here in Bakersfield in the lovely Rio Bravo Ranch. You don’t see a lot of Gin’s crafted this way, one of the many reasons it’s high up on my list of recommendations. The nose is balsamy and full with spicy notes of pink peppercorns that carry across the tongue, yielding to a bright citrus finish.

You need a proper Tonic to tie it all together and the Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic is the only way to go. We have those, too in 6.8oz bottles at $2 a piece. Made with carbonated spring water, natural quinine and essential oils from lemon, thyme and rosemary, this bubbly tonic has a soft bitterness balanced by aromatic herbs and citrus.
