2007 Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon $17.99

One of my most recent wine discoveries is this wonderful expression of the Cabernet grape from an atypical source – Paso Robles. However, the Margarita vineyard, which was originally planted by Robert Mondavi, is now farmed and managed by Mike Sinor, so we know the vines are getting extra doses of TLC. The winemaking is guided by the deft hands of Chris Brockway and Brian Terrizzi, both Fresno State Enology graduates. The wine exhibits bright black fruits and black currants with excellent minerality and spice. The tannins are moderate and the wine is a pleasure to experience. ~Deanna
